Prime Electric was founded in 1998 by Ray Moya and Weldon Claunch. Since that time — armed with a solid workforce and a positive work ethic — Prime has prided itself on providing customers with the highest standard and quality of installations, service, and professionalism.
Through a core group of excellent IBEW electricians, quality workmanship, and an OSHA-certified workforce, Prime is one of the top electrical contractors in New Mexico. We manage schedule and cost on every project from start to successful completion, with a continued commitment to renewable energy sources and energy-saving retrofits.
In March 2006, Prime Electric acquired Gamblin-Rodgers Electric — a 70-year-old, highly respected contractor. The acquisition expanded our ability to provide electrical service, repairs, maintenance, and testing across the region.
All journeymen are OSHA-certified for the 10-hour construction course. Zero injuries is the goal. Our safety director keeps procedures current and conducts weekly meetings on every worksite, backed by an incentives program that rewards proactive reporting.
